Thank you to all our wonderful cast and crew for attending our first private screening of Caleb! Looking forward to many more in our future.
Our second grading session at Framestore today with the lovely Edwin Metternich. We found the overall look of Caleb's world so now it'll be fine-tuning until our eyes are watering. Kodak film LUTs are our friends...
1000 decisions, endless fog and many coffees later we have the last shot in the can.
Thank you all for your hard work, it's been three long days in a surreal environment and we couldn't have done it without your dedication. We're told our twins had the best weekend ever, if that isn't a compliment... here a few stills, keep an eye out for more on our facebook page
It's been an intense start to the year and after dozens of meetings, skype chats and hundreds of emails we're finally all on set putting the finals touches in place as the 3-day shoot starts tomorrow.
Here's our Production Designer Beck Rainford (most likely sourcing a few more plants) and the kitted-out dragon waiting to pounce.
PS: We just realised our 24-strong-crew is 50% female, not bad considering statistically it's around 23%, even lower on sci-fi sets.
Full-on rehearsal day today. The cast met for the first time and after spending the morning exploring the characters relationships we managed to block some key scenes. It's a great moment when word on a page really start coming to life.
We mentioned that there was a surprise planned for our actors. At the end of the day we took them around the corner to the iMakr store in Clerkenwell and one by one they were captured in the 360' photo chamber in order to create 3D models of them. They will be printed over the coming weeks and feature in the film in form of a family portrait. We're told seeing yourself from all angles is a whole new out-of-body experience...
We are super-excited that Mark Frost has now joined the project as JohnJohn, completing the cast alongside Elizabeth Healey as Sonia and James & William Hall as Caleb.
Many thanks to the wonderful Shakyra Dowling for helping us assemble our future family.
We're looking forward to rehearsal day early next year and, boy, do we have a surprise in store for them!
With our Indiegogo campaign in full swing we were happy to find the 3D industry taking interest in the project and our collaboration with iMakr. Here are our top three write-ups
